LOCATION
The Imperial College is one of the world's leading centres of excellence for teaching and research in the fields of science, technology and medicine. Not only that, it also provides a fantastic location for those who wish to stay in the centre of London with great value bed and breakfast. The accommodation is provided in the student Halls of Residence during the Easter and Summer holidays in two of London’s most popular areas. The Halls of Residence of the College that are available during Easter and Summer holidays only are Beit Hall and Prince’s Gardens
Beit Hall is located next door to the Royal Albert Hall. Prince’s Gardens is the College’s main campus, a short distance from Beit Hall, the campus is located next to the V&A museum.
The nearest underground is South Kensington. Beit Hall and Prince’s Gardens are only a short distance from the attractions of Harrods, the shopping of Knightsbridge, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and on the doorstep of landmarks such as the Royal Albert Hall, Natural History, Science and Victoria & Albert museums.
ACCOMMODATION
Beit Hall has undergone a total refurbishment to offer 210 twin rooms with private ensuite facilities and also 52 standard single rooms. Some of the twin rooms will take an extra bed to make triple rooms. The standard single rooms have a private washbasin but share bathroom and shower facilities with five other rooms. Many of these rooms in Beit Hall have windows that view the Royal Albert Hall.
Alternatively the Halls of Residence at Princes Gardens provides 584 single and 24 twin student study bedrooms with washbasins. Many of the rooms provide views over the garden square. None of the rooms are ensuite and the majority of the shower and/or bathroom facilities are shared with three other rooms.
FACILITIES
Guests to the College are welcome to use the extensive facilities available. These facilities are situated a short distance from the two Halls. They include an tourist information service and the college bookshop.
DINING
A full English breakfast is included in the price and is served in the main college dining room. Snacks and light meals are also available on the Campus throughout the day. The Pizzeria offers a selection of Italian dishes as well as refreshments that are available late into the evening. The College bar is located underground and provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the features of a traditional London pub.
LEISURE
The Sports Centre located in Prince's Gardens provides a range of activities including a jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. The college also boasts a fully equipped air-conditioned gym, 4 squash courts and a 25m swimming pool.
MEETING FACILITIES
The college provides over 200 meeting rooms, lecture theatres and classrooms, which are all centrally located on the South Kensington campus. The largest venu, the Great Hall has been recently refurbished and seats upto 740, there are also exhibition and refreshment areas in the foyer of most of the lecture halls. Use of the conference and lecture halls is not only restricted to the Easter and Summer periods they are also available in the evenings and weekends throughout the year.
